How come America has the best movies?

I don’t understand why ONLY America makes all the hit movies!!!! (except Harry Potter, James Bond)…I could be wrong but I’m guessing America has a lot to do with those movies anyway….My real question is…why doesn’t EUROPE (or the rest of the world) make it’s own GOOD movies that would actually qualify to be a “box office hit”. I have seen many south american movies and…they are good but…they are very calm…and seem to tell a story and make a point…but, none of them have very much action and…they are not very popular in the rest of the world….

It’s because of HOLLYWOOD… All the actors from around the world dream of coming to hollywood, so they have the best actors in the movies, so they have the best movies… (Just like NY/Broadway is the best place for theatre… everybody goes to NY to be on stage… so, they have the best theatre). Also, the MONEY allows directors with big dreams like LUCAS, CAMERON, or SPIELBERG use special effects, models, sound effects, computer generated simulations, etc to make their visions come to life on the big screen. Other countries just don’t have that kind of money to spend on a movie where most of the people in their country might not have enough money to buy a ticket to watch it anyway. That’s why other countries usually make “art-sy” films and not the blockbusters we see coming from Hollywood. That being said, Hollywood very rarely comes out with a movie that is “deep”. Most hollywood movies are shallow and more interested in capturing the “date-movie” type of crowd.
