I think craft products will remain a niche product of high quality luxury that only the rich, or at least wealthier middle class can afford. There are reasons actual practices of mass production took over … is cheaper. Most middle class Americans who have no money to spend on quality expensive goods of artisans. Furthermore, it takes hard work and experience to acquire the skills to make products of quality craftsmanship, and how it is supposed that cover their expenses during a workout? It's hard work and a lot of people not willing to go through the difficulties of the weak outlook at the end. I sure there is no greater job satisfaction to it, but satisfaction will not put a roof over your head and feed you. I would get really good at a job (I Knit & Crochet) and not have to work in an office all day, but it's really hard to truly fulfill their lives in this day and age.
